Call for applications - Recruitment of a researcher on the issue of "Environment, demographic dynamics and inequalities in developing countries"
INED and its laboratory of excellence iPOPs (Individuals, Populations, Societies) "is recruiting a researcher for two years to work on the issue of "Environment, demographic dynamics and inequalities in developing countries".
The person recruited will conduct research focused on understanding the interactions between environment and population dynamics in Southern countries, based on demographic and environmental data.
The demographic data used will come from existing sources, produced at the local and/or national level, the environmental data will take advantage of European satellite images and the research conducted will be in line with the logic of the Population, Climate and Environment research unit of the UR15 "Demography of Populations in the South" (Demosud) of INED.
The person recruited will also be required to organize, in synergy with the other members of the project and the statistical methods department, training and development activities on the use of satellite data in demography.
The deadline for application is 15 March 2021 and a hiring date of 1 April 2021 (date negotiable).
